How is a suppressor usable without the round going less than 1100 fps?

The suppressor on a hunting rifle cuts the blast down to preserve hearing, it does not silence them.

By mitigating muzzle blast and sound pressure. A super Sonic bullet still makes a Sonic crack, but a 10-40 dB reduction at the operator is where the benefit is.
Plus, most suppressors increase reliability and even add a bit of velocity to the bullet.
