Has desalinization plant been ruled out?

I know that’s how they get running water in Grand Cayman, for instance. Before desalinization was introduced, the island (most populous Cayman) was almost entirely unpopulated.

Not by me. Based on earlier digs, USVI gets a lot of potable water through desalinization. Though that does take a lot of electricity.

The waste from that process might explain the effluent from the pipes. Epstein had at least two swimming pools on LSJ. He'd be sucking down an enormous amount of electricity to run desalinization but with money as no object, maybe so.
