We set ours at 72 at night, but it is still 76 or so upstairs until after about 2 a.m.

If we set it at 66, I have to believe the AC would never shut off, all night.

When our AC died right before the 4th of July, the bedroom was 89 for 4 nights in a row.

I had that in June, when our coil sprung a fatal leak. After that, no f’ing way I’m setting it to even a dry 82 at night. Among the reasons is that if I did that, my body temp would be about 82 the next morning, and dropping, after my wife got done with me. :>)

Been there, done that — hot house for 3 days when the AC fan died and wouldn’t move. I solved that problem by taking long cold showers to pull the heat out of me. Worked rally well, for a few hours anyway. I bet a pool or a cold bath would be even better.
