No problem. Just wait a year. Another study will “prove” fluoride is safe and that this study was somehow faulty. Is coffee good this week, or not? Are eggs good this month, or not.

You get enough fluoride from your toothpaste if you brush at least once a day.

Like so many other things, it seems the John Birch Society was right all along. Almost everything they warned about has come to fruition.

I used to be in charge of a public water supply system. We were not required, but strongly encouraged, to add fluoride to our water. A few years before I left the state regulators recommended we reduce the fluoride levels, which we did. The reason given for that recommendation was that people don’t need it because they get enough fluoride from other sources, especially toothpaste.
Adding fluoride to drinking water has always been controversial. I would get one or two phone calls per year from customers imploring that we stop using it.

that’s because flouride ‘mimics’ iodine by attaching to the iodine receptors, blocking the absorption of iodine. low iodine causes cretinism and retardation

How did they control for income?
Poorer people certainly are going to buy less bottled water. And IQ correlates heavily with wealth.
It won’t be simply a matter of regressing a single variable.

An unpublished study showed that babies born to mothers who drank fluoridated water and attended private schools or were home schooled had higher IQ's.......So who ya gonna believe.

Yes, it may cause lower IQs, but the child’s teeth are better.

When we started in this field, we were told that fluoride is safe and effective in pregnancy. But when we looked for the evidence to suggest that its safe, we didnt find any studies done on pregnant women.Wow. "It's safe and effective, so don't worry."
"Studies? Nah, we don't need no steenkin' studies. Take our word for it."

I’ve always wondered if fluoride has anything to do with those autism / ADHD / etc. issues. Seems that weird syndromes started soon after we were bombarded with fluoride.
A few years ago I stopped using fluoride toothpaste; I’ve always had a hinky feeling about the stuff, although I assume it’s in our water. (My dentist is in love with my “beautiful teeth”. LOL!)
