Yes, our new gutter guards are on. We needed advise why water is standing by our house after a rain...and why is our cat porch leaking in one place. The porch and family room roofs connect. Our family room is a high ceiling and our house is lower on the front of our house while the porch is connect to the high pitch family room but higher than the old part of our house in front. So our house is actually more than an L shape...almost a U. While the deck is inside the U....extending out past the porch.

Here's the kicker. The tin has to come off of the porch roof. The dip going to the second addition has to be stripped and re-roofed adding the porch in. We will never get rid of the leak being that the tin roof isn't free standing and no connection. We do have some roofing left over from the job perhaps 5 years ago.

We know about porch leaks, hubby has done everything to get the skylight to not leak, have hired people in the know too.

He said the only way to get it to stop leaking is to rebuild the roof without skylight, like that is going to happen.
