The college football fight song has existed for more than a century, so it's no wonder that a school's signature sound always rouses the crowd during a game. In honor of the sport's 150th anniversary, here are the best fight songs in the sport's history.

No one cares about the “official” fight song. When I watch FSU games on tv it is all about the “Tomahawk Chop”.
“5: THE”
Whoever did that THE thing is a jerk.
Tom Lehrer may be a flaming liberal, but he did right some pretty funny tunes.
I listen to some college football podcasts. I crack laughing when the intro to another Tenn blunder story is “Rocky Top”.
Right? Of course I meant “WRITE”. Monday morning moment I suppose.
John Philip Sousa did not write “The Victors”.
John Philip Sousa did write “The University of Michigan March”
The Victors is probably the most exclusive fight song in the country. I believe there is only one high school in the country that might play The Victors for their fight song. This is only due that they are the Wolverines, uniforms with the Winged Helmet, and also in the state of Michigan.
When I have played The Victors in my Community Band, which we did for an anniversary of the song, we were not allowed to keep the parts. They were either shredded or sent back to the University of Michigan.
My HS fight song was from the University of Kansas.
Not surprised of Michigan being #1. I root for the pro football team with its most famous alum: the FOREVER young Tom Brady.
Actually, I do like the song, but the band has been playing it with such a fast, jaunty beat in recent years that it sounds almost like a polka.
Slow it down a beat or two.

Sorry about the triple post.
Fight for Cal doesn’t make the list?
A million dollars isn’t what it used to be.
The Marxists who run the state love the first line of the U. of Washington fight song: “Heaven help the foes of Washington.”
And then there is Weird Al’s contribution....

Do the KU students still yell “Knock his f’ing head off!” everytime they kick off?
Not that KU has had that many kickoffs over the past few seasons, mind you.
Hail to the Victors, and it’s not even close.
