Today's document release shows that Epstein had a predilection not only for very young women but also for brilliant scientists. The linked Slate article doesn't mention Epstein's recruiters of young women (e.g., Ghislaine Maxwell and Ray Chandler), but it makes clear that publisher John Brockman was Epstein's scientist recruiter, responsible for convening luxurious salons on Little Saint James or elsewhere.

At these salons, Epstein was always surrounded/fondled by several youngish women (not so young as to raise pedophilia concerns among the attendees). Behind the scenes, some of the scientists got to sample the jailbait.
