Is it possible Epstein had already be through a military tribunal, found guilty and this was his execution, in a manner that would move the investigation and/or litigation forward?

If not, maybe I’ll use it as part of a plot in a future novel.

That’s the idea I’ve been wondering about.

He’s allowed to have a trial and cross witnesses - but I’m not aware of a right to it being public. Plus I think they had sufficient evidence without witnesses and could have avoided the witnesses all together.

Expedited trial and private execution presented as a suicide is a distinct possibility.
