Those are just the most recent high profile cases.

Lee Harvey Oswald is another.

How many cartel informants have bought the farm in fed custody?

How many foreign national informants have?

If you had ANY information on ANY powerful people doing something they shouldn’t...at this point would YOU call the feds and offer that information?

Nope.

When Wray was first brought in, it was said his main mission was to restore public trust and re-moralize his men and women.

I think there may be a simpler explanation for Epstein’s (JE) death.

I believe JE thought he could get out on bail and was shocked that it was denied. Then, when in a cell with two other inmates (incl: one body-building former cop), JE either picks a fight or starts hitting himself to show that he is at risk for being hurt/murdered. The former cop stops the process and calls for help.

JE then tells his lawyers that he is being harassed and will likely die from prisoner violence against him.

During this process, JE tells everyone that he is NOT suicidal and just wants to get out on bail to save his life and go to trial (or cut a deal). He is probably willing to have his leg amputated above the ankle bracelet in order to pull off an “El Chapo”/Mission Impossible escape to some unknown part of the world.

So, JE is never really put on a strict suicide watch.

Then, on Friday night, he realizes that the document dump has doomed his chances of getting out on bail. Despondent, he decides to hang himself with his pants tied to the cell bars and just needs a few inches to induce suffocation (credit: Brian Cates’ idea).

Since he is not on suicide watch and this is all done quietly, it takes a while before he is noticed, but it is too late and he dies.

The prison is shocked because they did not think he was a suicide risk as long as he was not getting beat up.

Much simpler story and it explains why the prison was so lax in observing him.
