Ya know, I don’t think it’s ‘ok’ to post pictures of Charlie Chan anymore. He became un-personned several years ago, I guess because he’s Chinese. I wish he would be rehabilitated. I used to love his movies.

I think he has been rehabilitated. If I receive any complaints, I'll back off. That said, I think his wisdom (all quotes are from Charlie Chan movies) has much to recommended it on this thread or as Charlie Chan would say:

“The wise elephant does not seek to ape the butterfly.”

When I am not lurking on the Q thread the last few days I watch old Charlie Chan movies on my roku TV among other oldie movies and early TV shows. It is a distraction from all the crazy stuff in the world.

This Q forum is the best place on the internet minus the usual troll suspects.

Thank you all who bring so much information and insight. I learn every day the good the bad and the ugly with many ideas on how to combat the bad and ugly.

All the more reason to do so. Still own a bunch of his movies, as well as the little red book of Wit and Wisdom.

‘cept none of the charlie chans in the movies were Chinese. all white guys... I’m guessing that’s why no more Charlie...
