....in 2020. Lou Dobbs stated that this is a fraud on the American public. @peterschweizer stated with certainty that they suppressed negative stories on Hillary Clinton, and boosted negative stories on Donald Ttump. All very illegal. We are watching Google very closely!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 6, 2019
It was minutes before I came to this thread to post about it. They had a sound byte of President Trump saying that we need to do something about shutting down the "dark web," then the couch trio started talking to an expert about 8chan.

Thanks for that link!
Interesting stuff there, including illary rotten’s tweet...

I didn’t think 8chan was on the dark web. I thought I heard them say they would be forced to the dark web if they wouldn’t let them back on open source.
The guy on Fox and Friends, Eric Cole, has no association with the White House that I can see. It said he was FORMER CIA analyst. Looks like he’s associated with a cyber security company. Didn’t sound like he had any inside knowledge, just his opinion.
hahahaa I watched Serenity last night

“Make sure that Trump losses...”
“Donald Ttump”
So we have Trump misspelling “loses” and can’t spell his own name correctly “Ttump”?
What is he trying to tell us? Extra ‘s’, ‘t’ (TT?), no ‘r’.
Never been good at figuring things like this out. Hell, I was stuck in Festival yesterday....

Howze-by you?
Just make sure you call a lawyer before you call 911. I recommend Mark Levin.
Judged by twelve or carried by six. Your choice.
The shooter in El Paso posted a manifesto online consumed by racist hate. In one voice, our nation must condemn racism, bigotry, and white supremacy. These sinister ideologies must be defeated. Hate has no place in America. Hatred warps the mind, ravages the heart, and devours the soul. We have asked the FBI to identify all further resources they need to investigate and disrupt hate crimes and domestic terrorism whatever they need.
We must recognize that the Internet has provided a dangerous avenue to radicalize disturbed minds and perform demented acts. We must shine light on the dark recesses of the Internet, and stop mass murders before they start. The Internet, likewise, is used for human trafficking, illegal drug distribution, and so many other heinous crimes. The perils of the Internet and social media cannot be ignored, and they will not be ignored.
8 Chan went off line when Cloudflare stopped providing their DDOS protection service. I don't believe that FR uses that service.
Gab went down when GoDaddy dropped them. I believe GoDaddy was both their Domain Name registrar and their hosting service. Like I said before it's probably best to have two separate companies providing those services if you are publishing controversial content.
Maybe I'm naive, but I don't see FR as particularly controversial. 90% of posts are linked from mainstream publications, and people comment on them. The mods quickly remove anything that violates the terms of service.
The comments on local newspapers that still allow them are much worse than what you will see here.
I'm not sure I got the idea FR was self hosted, perhaps it was from back in the old days, when we would have an outage the resolution usually involved the mods getting hands on with hardware and software, which doesn't happen if you are running on GoDaddy.
Statement from Jim Watkins, owner of 8chan, regarding recent events:
https://twitter.com/infinitechan/status/1158688643856420869
Manifesto that May have been written by the idiot in Tx was posted on Instagram...
I posted the previous tweet from Jim upthread and for some reason it was deleted. Possibly the "no 8 chan links" rule was over-zealously applied. Jim Watkins is posting these updates on Twitter, which people link to all the time here.
Anyway, it's a good statement.
Somebody ran the manifesto through a plagiarism program and found a guy named Brett Stevens wrote it.
Which is why Pencil Neck has been tweeting and commenting for weeks/months about how 'concerned' he is about 'deep fake' videos and pictures.

New York (CNN Business)The Dow and the broader stock market is rebounding Tuesday, after China took steps to ease the budding currency war with the United States
China priced the yuan's reference rate at 6.9683 to the dollar on Tuesday, a hair above the key 7:1 ratio to the US dollar. Although that was the weakest level for the yuan in 11 years, many Wall Street investors feared China would price the yuan below that psychological 7:1 barrier.
The managed yuan continued to slide Tuesday, but the pace of its decline slowed. One dollar last bought $7.0200 yuan in China, and 7.0490 yuan in the offshore market, where the currency trades more freely.
Late Monday. the United States labeled China a currency manipulator.
But the sentiment is better nonetheless.
The Dow (INDU) traded more than 200 points, or 0.8%, higher Tuesday morning, while the S&P 500 (SPX) bounced 0.9% higher. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite (COMP), which was hit worst in Monday's selloff, traded 1.2% higher.
Stock investors also took comfort in the Chinese central bank announcing plans to issue central bank bills worth 30 billion yuan next week. That supported China's currency, which bounced back slightly against the dollar after the announcement.

He is a long-term blogger who runs a multi-author blog. He's a critic of the Enlightenment, egalitarianism and multiculturalism. Easy enough to find his blog. To state the obvious: he doesn't advocate for shooting up WalMarts.
Possibly the shooter cut and pasted some of his manifesto from Stephen's site.
