Florida state Sen. Lauren Book is working to make sure a male-dominated legislature isnt allowed to limit a womans access to abortion.
She has filed a bill calling for a constitutional amendment that would prohibit the Florida House of Representatives and Senate from voting on a bill that would affect access to abortions unless at least half of the members voting are women.
No vote about us without us, Book told the Tallahassee Democrat.
The vast majority of the legislature in both chambers are men. Men make up 70% of both the House and Senate.

Thats not how it works, sugarpants.
She’s onto something here. And I want it mandated that no taxes can be raised unless more than half of the voters earn enough money to pay taxes. And no legislation can be voted on regarding any so-called crime unless half the voters are criminals, and no regulations may be promulgated regarding gun control unless half the voters are gun owners... and on and on....
I reject their sexist premise.
Also shows how implacable they are. No matter what side a guy takes on abortion, he’s awful.
Can we also pass a law that forbids people on the dole to vote?
So is she claiming that only female babies are killed by abortionists so it’s a pure women’s issue? But then why isn’t she against abortion? And if male babies are the ones who die in abortions, then clearly men have a stake in limiting it.
Either way, her position doesn’t make any sense. She must just be a demagogue then.
It ain’t about YOU, my narcissistic precious. or about how many pro-abortion politician liberal or other women that you implant into legislatures.
It is about the innocent human being that you want to butcher for whatever whim that you choose.
