Allen and Plano are both suburbs to the north of Dallas. If you are familiar with Dallas at all you might have heard about central expwy AKA US75. Plano is about 20 miles north of downtown Dallas on Central. Allen is the next town north on Central Expwy.

What I don't get about the El Paso shooter is that if he went to high school in Plano he would be well aware that east Plano is now heavily Hispanic. He didn't need to drive over 600 miles to shoot up a Walmart in a Hispanic neighborhood, he only had to drive about ten miles. Plano Senior High is in West Plano, essentially everything on the west side of Central Expwy. The east side's school is Plano East Senior High, my alma mater.
