I think the legal system has become a completer crap shoot. If it's an accident? If there is no intent? You might be able to do anything you want. Get away with treason or murder? [shrug] That's just the way it goes, right?
Myself, as a tax-paying, law-abiding pillar of my community, I have the feeling that if I ever slip up in even a small way, they would bankrupt me and try to send me to prison. You know, because the law says so.
