Yeah, even without ump crimping of strike zones for particular pitchers, it typically takes a trip through the batting order of both teams to figure the zone of each ump.

This sort of works if the umpire is consistent. Many are not. A big part of the problem is the entitlement mentality of unionized umpires.

Players are expected to hang up their spikes when they can no longer perform. Umpires? Not so much.
