I’m going to be a contrarian here and say maybe. Maybe the Russians wanted Trump to win.
Put yourself in their shoes and think about a Hitlery win. I assume the Russians have decent intel and would know that Hitlery planned to start a shooting war. How could that be good for Russia? (I don’t think it would, but I’m open to arguments that would change my mind.)
Another point to remember is that Russia likely has factions just like the US and the rest of the world. I’d bet there are factions that were pro-Trump and pro-HRC within Russia. So at the very least, Russia can’t be treated as some monolithic block.
Regardless, it is still my opinion that “Trump conspired with Russia to win” is a baseless and ridiculous charge.

The only thing in Russia’s interest, lacking a government bent on spreading communism, is a strong America to balance China. Above all else the Russians have to operate on the fact that they sit in an underpopulated, resource saturated horn of plenty right next to an ocean of expansive humanity pushing their way hellbent into modernity. The numbers difference is like 1-12, and east of longitude 80/90 it’s probably more like 1-1000.
