Do you know of Strauss/Howe’s four generation theory of history? If not, don’t worry about it. If you do, I have two questions:
1) To what extent do you see yourself and/or your generation as exemplary of the Hero designation, as defined by Strauss/Howe?
2) Do you feel somehow disappointed by not having been a part of the massive-type Crisis experience that the American Revolution, Civil War, and WWII generations were able to define their lives by?
New to me ... hmm, 1775, 1860, 1940 ... is 2020 the next crisis?

1) we are not the heroes. We are the janitors until a better age comes
2) our struggle will be in the future, when social protections fail and demographic changes rear their ugly heads. Then we will help to answer whether a free society can exist in an age of dystopian technology and mass indoctrination
