>> Some have proffered an idea that “Q” might be AI

I have never seriously considered that as a possibility. Until now!

I have a “rough sketch” for a predictive algorithm for some s/w I’m writing, but the Q stuff is so far beyond that. Not impossible to imagine, but definitely mind-boggling!

If Q is an AI, then I’d bet that Q scrapes the internet/headlines to use in decision-making. And clearly Q posts a lot of links.

And if Q is an AI that scrapes the internet for info to post, that would completely eliminate the possibility of anyone being Q and therefore there is no Q who is prosecutable. The only persons who could be in danger of prosecution would be if someone posted something illegally that Q scraped.

Remember how the Krassenstein brothers were always 1st to respond to POTUS tweets? I assume they had s/w that alerted them and/or auto-posted replies.

So how to explain all of the Q proofs when Q beat POTUS? It could be that there were predefined key words along with times given to Q AI and also given to POTUS (or someone using POTUS twitter acct). That could have accomplished the synchronization.

AI isn’t conscious. Q is a team of humans with consciousness. The humans may use programs/whatever to scour the internet; in fact, it’s obvious they do.

Q, POTUS, AI

It has always seemed very odd to me that POTUS constantly says that someone or something is “bad”. He uses that word ALL THE TIME. He never says “horrible”, “terrible”, “awful”, or anything similar. As if he had a stunted vocabulary. Up until now, I though there were 2 possible reasons for this:

1. He has a stunted vocabulary and his intellectual skills are focused elsewhere.

2. He is deliberately trying to speak in simple and easy-to-understand terms so that no one can mistake his meaning, so that his tweets and speeches are accessible to all.

Neither of these seemed very satisfying explanations to me. In other areas, his vocabulary seems perfectly “normal”. So why no synonyms for “bad”? He expresses ideas and uses words that are sufficiently complex so that if a listener/reader were stuck at the level of “bad”, there is no way he would understand the rest of the words or the idea they expressed.

So now I have a third theory.

3. Perhaps “bad” is a word that the Q AI keys on. A “trigger”.

Chime in if you think there are other options here, or if you have good arguments against!

Far above my paygrade. DARPA/ABCs and industry research labs are decades ahead of what information and technology is released to we public.

What is the delta between development, usage, before we are allowed to know about it, while they’ve moved on to something more advanced?

Ah but AI didn’t recruit POTUS. And POTUS wouldn’t get along well with an AI, his unpredictable atypical nature would have an AI crying sitting in a corner. :)

Siri and Alexa still say ridiculous things or get in trouble because after listening to all our conversations, they still miss massive important content as they aren’t human and struggle to sort relevance. And they are stumbling just answering simple questions. The question “Alexa, do you work for the CIA” caused Alexa to fall silent and shut down a few times (avoiding answering?)

The Generals that POTUS brought into the Whitehouse, the grim faced warriors who lined up behind him at his inauguration - these aren’t the kind of people to turn the fate of the world over to an untested “innovative” AI.

I can believe Q is in close proximity to POTUS because that’s the most effective way they could coordinate. When POTUS had General Kelley as his chief of staff, it made sense to me that Kelley was laying down infrastructure for Plan Z so that if Plan Z should ever be necessary - it was ready to go without “transition time”.

I worked for someone on a simple AI. The data loading and testing were often derided as more trouble than the eventual system would ever be worth. Now try loading that system with an understanding of “evil” like the world has never seen and have it model a war “evil” would fight. I don’t believe that Q=AI would be feasible nor would it be palatable to warriors who would have to win the battle for the world on an untried system (this war has never been fought before) no human could reasonable be expected to understand it’s reasoning.

God wins.

Just my 2. :D
