I haven’t seen either movie. (I know, I know! But I do know “every time a bell rings ....” via osmosis from just being alive in the USA).
You make EXCELLENT points. But I thought you were going in a different direction with it. My take is not that that it’s a greedy capitalist banker, but that it’s a BANKER. It seems to me that one of the things Q/Trump are fighting against is the central bankers. Different from the hometown bankers, I think. Someone better versed in economics/banking - feel free to chime in here and educate me!
I’m not sure what Bailey’s job is, but presumably he is also a capitalist?
I think the villain here is not capitalism so much as evil. Greed. Dishonesty. Lack of empathy, compassion, and consideration for your fellow man.
Or am I being too defensive about capitalism?
Happy to have a friendly argument about this!
I am not sure that you don't contradict yourself. However, it is late to mince words. I think my point that subliminal messages are built into movie, tv and music productions is established. I am not Marshall McCluan (sp?) but I studied him and Madison Avenue thinking many years ago, including at Boston University, the same school that failed AOC.
I have not watched prime time tv shows since those distant years because I can see that they are filled with subliminal messages to mislead unwary viewers; same with movies and much of popular music. With same sex relationships comprising about 2-4% of the population 25 years ago, how did the current generation come to believe that it involved about 25% of the population? Because every prime time tv show and many movies have presented such a life style prominently... and naturally it is becoming more common. (Their) mission accomplished.
Thank you, from a non-participant, for disagreeing without being disagreeable. You set a great example.

I would point out that our enemy is not opposing banks, they are opposing capitalism. The Dems all want to be tight with the banks {Mad Max, 0-zero, etc}, but they hate Wall Street and now openly say that capitalism is a complete failure.
Where did they get such an idea? Looking back at Nabta Playa in the SW Egyptian desert - 8 thousand years ago it was much wetter and a center for livestock herding. Those herds were sometimes driven maybe a thousand miles to Mesopotamia... why? Because there was profit to be made in such a treacherous expedition. The same principle holds true with the ancient Silk Route from the Mediterranean to the Far East - and back.
Capitalism is the foundation of civilization since before recorded history. It is that foundation that these nihilists wish to overthrow. We cannot allow that!
