This is an excellent, well researched article about how Epstain got off with less than a slap on the wrist. This article deserves to be widely read. The short version is that it was not Acosta’s fault.

Well I read something last night that I just automatically took as gospel... without trying to verify it and I can’t find it now, but it said Mueller told Acosta that Epstein had provided them with some hard evidence to prosecute others and pretty much ordered him to give him this deal.
