What are the odds a feminist graduate student could be under siege for feminist rhetoric on a California campus?
Under an intersectional framework and evolving definition of “woman,” much higher than you might expect.
University of California-Santa Barbara doctoral students, alumni and “allies” are demanding the administration take action against Laura Tanner, an outspoken critic of transgender ideology and doctoral candidate in its Department of Feminist Studies.
Tanner’s Twitter feed is dominated by discussion of transgender ideology’s threat to women, including young lesbians. She believes that transgender women – biological males – are wrongly appropriating a female identity.

It’s amazing that Feminists and Far Left Wing educators are marginalizing women like this. Women are being forced to the back of the bus as the Males who wants to be identified as females are taking over, removing women in their roles. Women are the biggest losers in the transgender war.
The best part is that this is causing some of the feminists to get “red-pilled”. They have no place on the left any longer, and they realize that if they want any place at all, they are going to have to become at least much more moderate to be accepted by the right.
Attack (refute) the dissertation? Nay! Attack the disserter, as the latter is much simpler than the former.
Good. They have raised the bar and it’s trapping people who thought they were safely politically correct.

We just saw in some country where a kid was expelled from school for saying there are just two genders- and I thought, well, that isn’t here in the states yet- then today i read that a woman is ‘Being Investigated” for saying ‘Men can’t become women”? What is she being investigated for? Is an opinion now a crime?
Just exactly what is there to investigate within that statement one might wonder ?

When I read this, I was thinking this is classic Hegel/Marx.
Thesis was the old status quo with established male/female gender roles.
Feminism became the antithesis, and acceptance of feminism became the synthesis and the new status quo and the new thesis.
Now, transexualism is the new antithesis and is in the face of "traditional" feminism.
This requires an investigatuon?! The person is correct. Regardless of how many parts they add or remove to a human the DNA/chromosomes will not change.

I watch the lunatic Left turn on the merely idiot Left (for their lack of ideological purity according to whatever mindless thing the culture seems to be doing at the moment) with a mixture of pity and horror. And yet as a ordinary man daily needing forgiveness I’m often tempted to say I “love” watching them tear into each other too.
This instance helps to illustrate why the Left is in fact strongly conformist no matter how vainly they may think themselves as being individualistic, even to the point of being hyper-conformist for they must live in terror of being found to be out of step with the zeitgeist of the day.
There are no animals in nature that really compare but drawing on imagination I could envision a flock of angry canabalistic birds that sing not to attract a mate or acquire/protect their territory but to reassure the rest that they are exactly just like the rest ... for the flock will tear apart any bird that lets its song deviate too far from the group’s.
Thus we find that virtue signaling is now a defense mechanism within the group: where they announce their -whateverness- so everyone else will leave them unmolested.
It is a joke that these folks imagine that reactionary movements can arise from anywhere else except their midst, for they are about the most reactionary thing to ever come into existence, not in the sense of pulling back from some change that is asserted to be “progress” but simply in the sense of rushing to conform to whatever enough of them start doing or seem to be doing. They react like my hypothetical birds (whom we can assume are belligerent to murderous to any creature besides their flocks).
Thus they can be led to do or say anything because they’re so open minded that their brains have fallen out and so individualistic that you cannot tell them apart anymore.
If the society one day starts doing something or adopts some rhetoric (even one that they ONCE deemed old fashioned ... I.e. reactionary) they will mindlessly do and say that and brutalize any who do not conform.
It is an irrational process.
And as it is a irrational process they will be blind to any inconsistencies that must inevitably arise: thus the ease with which those dedicated to advancing homosexual rights have been manipulated into championing Islam on account of a made up but emotionally laden (for them) word like “Islamophobia”.
Really, Romans 1:18-32 remains spot on correct ... the proverbial miners are in the coal mine digging away going where they don’t know and the canary in its cage (championing homosexuality) has died but they press on to weirder and more foolish places where the air is even worse.
The end for those that will not turn back (repent) is death.
Virtue signaling, or “I’m just like you! Don’t hurt me!”, can easily become “I’m just like you but they aren’t ... let’s get them!” would be my guess.
These people ... one day they’ll be more afraid of the Islamophobia label than the Homophobia label and they’ll start throwing poofters from the rooftops too ... after beheading us bad Christians first of course.
Perhaps... but the more alarming thing is that stating scientific fact is something that you can be punished for...
Real proper Class 8 Stupid (the sort than can threaten survival of a species or a planet) doesn’t come cheap.
BTW: per the Richter Scale Class that inspired it (where each tick up the scale is vastly worse than the last) a Class 9 Stupid could threaten all life within a proverbial United Federation of Planets where a Class 10 Stupid might threaten all life, everywhere.
Essentially, the “modern/postmodern/what the hell now?” Left has maxed out their Stupid, for humanity lacks the wherewithal to get much more Stupid than the 8.6 I’ve jokingly pegged them at.
