Flashback: FC Dallas under-15 boys squad beat the U.S. Women's National Team in a scrimmage
CBS ^

In preparation for two upcoming friendlies against Russia, the U.S. women’s national team played the FC Dallas U-15 boys academy team on Sunday and fell 5-2, according to FC Dallas’ official website. This friendly came as the U.S. looked to tune up before taking on Russia on Thursday night in a friendly.

Just last month the U.S. lost the SheBelieves Cup, winning the first game over Germany 1-0 before losing to England (1-0) and France (3-0).

Of course, this match against the academy team was very informal and should not be a major cause for alarm. The U.S. surely wasn’t going all out, with the main goal being to get some minutes on the pitch, build chemistry when it comes to moving the ball around, improve defensive shape and get ready for Russia.

I don’t know for certain but I would imagine someone in Dallas called in a favor and the USWNT was happy to oblige.

I recall at least one female player who was on the boys team for at least 2 years, Mallory Pugh.

Btw, take a good look at the tweet photo at the link. Notice how they are pointing to each other, playing the other one up.
Obviously the scrimmage was much more comradeship than competition.

But don’t tell that to some because they obviously invested their manhood in this.

For instance, consider how they bad-mouthed and denigrated several teams they defeated. But, what do I know?
You do have links of teams being bad-mouthed?

Degenerated? What part of "America First" are you not understanding?

And, as such, the best play in numerous other sports. Not soccer, not by a longshot. Heck, there’s probably better US athletes boxing, cage fighting and even tennis and golf. More money and more fame. In the US, soccer is primarily a child’s sport. Just the way it is.

It could have been 7-2 had there been cash on the line.

There’s a reason the USWNT plays against 14-15 year old boys...
It good competition for the best women’s team in the world. The USMNT isn’t taking friendlies against college teams.

And, as such, The US still has a much higher population so that evens the scoreboard. Soccer is a child sport in Europe too. Thanks for adding against your argument.

Use your head... why wouldn’t they be playing Women’s college teams if what you say is true?

How many games has USWNT played against U15 Teams?
I think 2 in the last 7 years.

Rapinoe has probably cost her teammates millions in endorsements by hating on America and demanding equal pay in a sport that generates less than 3% of what men’s soccer generates at the World Cup level.

In 6 months she will be forgotten and have to get a real job.

And there is only one reason to take the scrimmage...
The under 15 boys are better than the next 15 girls in the development pipeline.

So you think that the under 15 boys team would beat them if there was a few million dollars in prize money on the line? I think you’re the one who needs a reality check.

YES

This isn’t the first time “professional ladies” have been beaten by kids.

This wasn’t the first time the world cup ladies have been had by an

under 15 squad.

Except the: USWNT and U.S. Soccer Federation Agree to Mediation for Gender Discrimination Lawsuit

And Budweiser just agreed to sponsor the Women’s League.

Checkout that fierce competitive snarl the players are giving ... oh wait... they are actually smiling and playing each other up with pointed fingers. Tell me who scored the goals? You can't because no records were even kept of the scrimmage (not a game).

Middle school boys are better than the World Cup-winning U. S. Players.

Stop with this nonsense, this was a friendly game against a bunch of middle schoolers and what better way to promote the sport but to let them win........sheesh!

Oh. Only thing I can find about the scrimmage is FC Dallas effectively saying the people posting against the USWNT are creepy cheap haters...
The story first appeared on FC Dallas' website and was then 'reported' elsewhere.

The original post is now blocked by Dallas, most likely because a nice thing about youngsters having the chance to have an informal kick-about with World Cup winners and national heroes was later twisted into an attack

There is the record of the scrimmage. Enjoy.

This story is good for a laugh but I’ll go out on a limb and say that the women didn’t take it very seriously.

Most professional athletes aren't going to put their bodies on the line and risk a career-ending injury over a silly exhibition game.
