In preparation for two upcoming friendlies against Russia, the U.S. women’s national team played the FC Dallas U-15 boys academy team on Sunday and fell 5-2, according to FC Dallas’ official website. This friendly came as the U.S. looked to tune up before taking on Russia on Thursday night in a friendly.
Just last month the U.S. lost the SheBelieves Cup, winning the first game over Germany 1-0 before losing to England (1-0) and France (3-0).
Of course, this match against the academy team was very informal and should not be a major cause for alarm. The U.S. surely wasn’t going all out, with the main goal being to get some minutes on the pitch, build chemistry when it comes to moving the ball around, improve defensive shape and get ready for Russia.
I think a US soccer team of trans men would teach Megan Rapinoe her true place in the scheme of things...

That is exactly correct. The speed isn’t the same but the size of the field and goals are. I find it actually makes for good entertainment - it’s just different.

In the US, the top men athletes do not play soccer. They play football, baseball, basketball, and hockey.
In Europe, South America, Africa, the Caribbean, Soccer is a far more popular sport with men and therefore their best male athletes play that sport.
The US women are generally better to most of the rest of the women, because the women from the US have orders of magnitude more financial support and overall support and encouragement in general while growing up than most women from around the globe save for Europe.
It should be no surprise that the US women's team has more victories within their sport than the US men do.

I do. Money motivates the girls, for sure. But imagine the motivation of a million bucks for the young guys.

Playing light, just to make it interesting, that is understood but when they start getting their manly butts beat, they face humiliation— a motivation to win.
