Thats Mike the Headless Chicken. There is a big statue of him in Fruita , Colorado. Seems he was being prepared for Sunday dinner back around 1945 and the axe did not take enough of his brain stem. He got up and ran around the farm. Being Capitalists, his owner turned him into a County and State fair spectacle, making some big 1940’s money. As he was fed by dropping a grain of corn down his gullet he choked on one and Mike was no more. Real interesting. Look him up!

Ah! That’s him! My memory was a little off, but I knew I’d read something about a headless chicken. Wow. Lived 18 months and died of asphyxiation.
