I had suspicions about her.
When they get elected they go to DC with great intentions.
Let me give you some insite into what happens since a former very good friend of mine was elected as the rep for Mi 1 before the present rep of that district.
He said that you go to DC for the initial indoctrination into the House. AND IT IS A INDOCTRINATION. After the informational classes on how to act on the chambers and what to do, they hold a gathering. At that gathering/party, there are a whole group of lobby people there. They come up to you and shake your hand with one hand and the other is reaching into their pocket to bring out contact cards for their particular lobbying group. They then tell you that they look forward to doing business with you if you intend on getting anything done.
The next is this. The leadership comes to you and ask what committee you want to be on. You tell them and they promptly tell you that if you fall in line, you’ll get that committee assignment. If not, then you’ll get zip. No assignments, not consideration for your district, NOTHING.
Want a good place to stay? Then take the bribe. Want something done? Take the kickback.
And everyone here thinks the mob is bad?
