I will probably go to the ER this morning. There is some indication of cellulitis, a problem I also had about 20 years ago. There is also a disruptive skin patch on the abdomen under my left arm which is becoming painful. One worries about MRSA and necrotizing fasciitis (flesh eating bacteria) - all of which is a bit of a long shot but not impossible in this case. The earlier it is detected and treated the better.

Obviously the problem is becoming more complicated and self treatment is becoming out of the question. The septic pathogen should be identified in lab culture today at the hospital; whether it is the sole cause of these complications is beyond my ken.

Presuming that I go to hospital, I will contact you FReepers when I am able to report outcomes.
