Weighing in on his 2020 Democratic rival Joe Biden's comments about his friendships with segregationists, Senator Cory Booker predicted the former vice president would not be his party's presidential nominee.
The New Jersey Democrat has not gone after the former vice president by name as the two vie for the party’s nomination. That changed Wednesday as Biden faced criticism for his comments invoking two segregationist senators.
Booker, who is black, responded to a tweet from a Twitter user, who captioned a photo of a woman looking sad, “me realizing i’m going to have to vote for joe biden in 2020.”

You might be right but if the failed Clinton tours mean anything it might be an indication that her shelf life has expired. She’s nowhere near the draw she used to be.
That said, there’s no doubt in my mind that she would love to run again and is probably dreaming of possible scenarios that would give her an opening to jump into the race.
Note to the Dems: You lot better hope pics of buildings with Sheets Byrd’s name on them don’t start popping up all over Twitter...

Biden claiming it’s republicans viewing democrats as “the enemy” when democrats are refusing to work with the republican senate or president. Didn’t Biden just call for a physical attack on the senate republicans?
Booker claiming Biden caused so many people “hurt” with his comments. Please, who is crying over hurt anything from Biden’s stupid comment.
Weren’t the segregationist Senators Biden praised both democrats? Kind of embarrassing as a black democrat seeks reparations based on the actions of his own party.
We had 40 House Republicans (never Trumpers) suddenly decide to retire before their local Republican parties had time to find, vet and promote new primary candidates. With that said, we only lost 38 seats so it was actually a net gain of 2, since the retiring Republicans were all RINOs.
But it’s great theater and will help to catch the Dems off guard as they really think they are much more beloved than they are. We’ll see what happens when there are Republican challengers for those seats and riding DJT’s coat tails during a rip roaring Presidential campaign. I think it’s going to be a hoot.

I didn’t know HST was a Kluxer.
He definitely was in his early years. It is getting a little hard to look up as I suspect it is purposely being downplayed. Do enough research tho and it is still possible to find it.
During the 50s it was pretty common knowledge. Around 10 years ago I did the research and it was a bit hard to find but it was there. Probably even worse now.
HST was an old-timey Dem when Dems were actually pro-American. And he had the guts to drop the bomb(s) and end the war with Japan.
Truman was a likeable enough person who made the right decision on the A bombs.
Deed down tho I think his chief loyalty was to his party. LBJ got caught red handed trying to steal his first Senate election. I mean they had him dead to rights.
Truman sent Abe Fortas down to Texas to make sure the case never got to court.
I will give him one plus. Although he integrated the military, he once said Southerners did not need a bunch of Yankees coming down and telling them what to do.
