Sure. Go measure the length of your shadow ten minutes before or after noon, then compare it to your height. It will be smaller.

Shorter not smaller. Try that with a ball and a single light source.

Shorter IS smaller, just smaller in only one dimension. Unless your shadow is getting wider at the same time it is getting shorter, then shorter=smaller.

Why? I’ve already given you the example that you asked for. You just want to move the goalposts now.
