No, actually it doesn’t. It’s a new use for “fag”. It just means one is heavily into something, no relation to sex at all.
So, there are fishfags, blogfags, carfags, bikefags, clothesfags, shoesfags, golffags, etc.
Yes, that’s what they’re called. Many of them are anime fags, too. There’s nothing phobic about it, because the normal perception of the associated unhygienic activities is one of disgust rather than fear.
