CBS This Morning just finished a rather long segment on “Deep Fakes”, or the digital manipulations of video in order to make someone say something they didn’t.
[They] were very concerned about such fakes spreading on social media and affecting/misleading people by committing fraud, inciting violence, annnnd, affecting elections.
They used Pelosi’s slowed speech video as an example, discussed with some digital forensics expert that was there to hawk his software to detect such fakes.
