Unfortunately, I totally agree with you.

p.s. Have any extra good starting pitchers in you farm system? The Pirates' "starters" have something like an E.R.A. of 10.00 in the past month or so. Our horrible games over the past week have averaged around four hours. Watching baseball these days in 'da Burgh is agonizing.

Not a whole lot different in Queens these days, altho I've literally watched every game this year. Ive been away from the game for a while and Im still trying to get used to the way pitchers are used today. Six innings for a starter, followed by the bullpen? Weird stuff. What gives with that? We have a rookie, Pete Alfonso, who is fun but how much of his power is related to a jacked-up baseball is anyones guess. Im thinking hes like Josh Bell? who looks like the real deal to me. I read we have a few lefty pitchers in the minors who we could see in September, providing the GM doesnt trade them away for broken down, has beens (Robinson Cano). At any rate Im looking at going to da Burgh in early Aug to catch the Mets for a game or two. Any good restaurants ideas? Danke.
