Something went horribly terribly wrong with this man's emotional and pshhological development. He's severely damaged and doesn't know it.

Just my opinion.

What would you have him do?

The climbers he passed were already dead. He couldn't have brought the bodies back down from that altitude if he tried. Passing the corpses of climbers is, at this point, a given for everyone who summits Everest.
