The story I heard was that Valerie Jarrett introduced BO to Michelle. He needed a wife to appear normal(not gay) before moving up the political ladder to eventually be placed in the WH.
Think she (Valerie) has been his handler for a long time.

VJ and Michelle were acquaintances thru Sidley. Sidley was on retainer for several actions involving voting concerns (ideology bundling).
MR worked there and attended the same “church” as BO. It’s been said that VJ had BO join to look mainstream XPian.
VJ was BOs handler and spoke to Jeremiah Wright about a match since MR was a not-so-pretty ABF and BO needed a beard.
BO moved up the Chicago political ladder and MR got “do nothing” jobs in “The System” culminating in BO writing State legislation that provided MO a WELL PAID do-noting job.
This big jump in income allowed them to mortgage a home they wouldn’t qualify for at any bank (even that Special Bank in Highland Park) but...enter Tony Resko...a Syrian.
