I always thought it went back to Pres. Nixon and revenge by the the RATs.
The RATs didn’t get the opportunity to impeach...Nixon took that away when he resigned.
The RATs demanded and got the OIC statute and loved it, until it was used against one of theirs...Pres. Clinton.
Pres.Clinton gets impeached.
Then the RATs decried the OIC statute as out dated and wanted it repealed and got their way.
There were even some rumblings by RATs to start impeachment proceedings against Pres.Bush.

Everything is about revenge with these communists... it is the very air that they breathe. Institutionally, you may be right about Nixon. On the ground, I doubt whether Cortex and Omar even know who Nixon was.

I disagree. They were just happy to get rid of Nixon, and his resignation simplified things for them. But they are vindictive, petty, America-hating rats who are never happy.
