Slicker than a NYC Minute.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

FYI, this expression is incorrect.

The correct use of the vernacular is "New York second."

This phrase originated in the 1970s, when due to a change in New York regulations a lively market developed in real-estate second mortgages which were purchased and "flipped" with rapidity by brokers aiming to make a quick buck.

Hence the expression: "Quicker than (flipping) a New York second."

This phrase originated in the 1970s,

Nonsense. "New York Minute" was in use when I was a kid.

Ah, but Q is taking his sweet time, hence the inclusion of City and the timing extended to what seems forever waiting. Just a minute! Q is so anon-o-i-ing.

Oh and thanx for the walk down memory lane... at one time in my younger days this was something I knew, knew of, but forgot and now am as yet in command of the knowledge, at least until the spong starts leaking again:)
