My daughter-in-law has done consulting work for a company trying to develop a biodegradable water bottle. Of course, that would be great but why use plastic water bottles in the first place?

Good question.

Of course a paper soft drink container would have to handle a pressurized liquid — but there’s glass and aluminum for those, isn’t there?

Wax coated cardboard would be a great container for “bottled water”.
