Carnival Cruise Lines got involved in a lawsuit because illegal dumping of waste and in some cases falsifying records. They got off with a fine. As usual, money talks. What I'm saying is let's take care of the problems which are in our realm while we're commenting on others.
Yes, everyone can agree on that statement. Less waste, more efficiency, more recycling. I have the view the environmentalism is simply sensible micro-economics. You shouldn't waste and you don't pollute, because it ultimately costs you money, in both the short-term and long-term.
We're not perfect, but environmental awareness in North America and Europe is far ahead of the rest of the world.
Who/what are the major causes? Identify them. Hold them accountable, UNaccountable bureaucrats. Do something constructive in this area.
Actually our tap water (Denver) is quite good but you are correct. I have traveled to places where the tap water was awful.
Worst water I ever had was New Mexico gyp water, with a high level of gypsum in it. You could drink it as tea or coffee, but alone it’s horrible.
Plastic Man rejoices!
HAHAHA!
Such a wonderful comedian. Sure miss him.
Plastics may be a huge problem for us. We may need to drastically cut back, as there is some evidence our constant plastic ingestion (through diet or skin) is causing significant health and brain issues. We have a lot of neurological epidemics currently, in our youngest and oldest populations. We need to study more which environmental factor in the last 90 years has made the worst contribution. Plastics have to be in the top ten.
