At 78, he’s struggling to stay relevant.
Lance Armstrong is beginning the same quest earlier in life, haha.
Only older baseball fans give a damn one way or another about Pete Rose, and he’s losing them fast.
Perhaps Pete and Lance could go on tour together.
I was 10 years old when Pete Rose had his 44 game hitting streak. I watched on tv when the Reds visited Shea Stadium. There were tons of Pro-Pete banners at the game. Now I think of him as an arrogant a hole who broke baseball’s cardinal rule, heed and hawed for years after being caught, and ended the career of an All-Star catcher in an exhibition game.
Rose will eventually be inducted into Cooperstown, IMO. I think it’ll happen ten years after he’s dead... but he’ll be inducted. His ultimate punishment is that he won’t live to see it.

And the scores of all ages posting here.
What bizarre analysis. Opposite of what is before everyones eyes.
I would agree of your assessment of Armstrong but only if the rest of the entire elite top European cycling community had been subjected to the same scrutiny and testing that Armstrong was by our own USADA.
Since they weren't, because they are all Europeans and not subject to our own country's laws, they all got a pass. I find the attacks on Armstrong the same witch hunt that is currently after our current president.......
If you're lucky to find any of Armstrong's TDF statistics that haven't been scrubbed from the internet, you'll find that he doesn't even rank in the top 10 of TDF stages won...........
The entire European cycling community is corrupt as hell but only the United States was willing to destroy the career of the only American who was able to compete on their terms..........
