I loved those old Falcons. Also the Chevy Novas of the same time period. With their "innocent" appearance they made cool looking street rods.

I knew a couple of guys back in 74 who had 302s crammed into those Falcons. One was worked from the pan to the valve covers and topped with dual quads. We were teenagers but I never saw him floor that thing. During the oil crises I doubt he ever got it above 40 mph. Try as he might he couldn’t get even 4 mpg...
