That is a good point. A few months ago, insiders said that Clare Bronfman had stopped putting money into his commissary account as she had been doing during 2018 after his arrest. There was a little rumble when observers or insiders noted that he had had visitors of the young, thin, female persuasion. First thought to be prisoner-groupies or acolytes that would contribute to his prison account after Clare cut him off. It was just recently revealed that those young ladies were para-legals from his defense team. Ooops.
Whether he has attracted any other followers or groupies is unknown.
As for protection money in other inmate accounts, it seems the MDC where he's held has a very transient population. He's an anomoly having been there over a year now. It's mostly a holding facility where inmates might be there a few months or less.
I think his money has dried up and even if he had some, he is SO arrogant that he would never think of paying for protection. In his mind, people should protect him for his intellectual prowess alone.
I think his own personality is his undoing.
I hope they monitor his comms. Don’t need to have him writing back and forth with pen pals etc.
