Affluent people are two types, those that earned it/deserved it. Then there are the grifters and inheritors.
I was a member of a Country Club for 10 yrs. The latter group are literally unbearable.
Folks that never earned it or inherited money are VERY insecure. They will belittle those with little or nothing, and they only hang with each other because they are deathly afraid of being exposed for a fraud who’s only real accomplishment was falling out of a pretty good hole.
People that rose from nothing, or poverty, even better with limited education... those are really fun people to hang around. They are generally very humble, positive, and appreciate what they have and....The USA for giving them the greatest gift.... the opportunity to make something out of themselves.
