During the National Anthem, are women to also remove their hats? I’m thinking of baseball games where many women wear baseball caps. I see about half of them take their hats off as well. Melania did not remove her glorious hat.

In this day and age, shouldn’t all remove their hats, regardless of sex?

No. Not a dress hat. If they want to flip their caps I have no problem with it but its not required. And what about ‘this day and age’ requires anything of us, except the demands of our mutual enemies.

It is not a tradition for women to remove their hats during the playing of the National Anthem.

It was once a tradition for men to remove their hats as a sign of respect in the presence of a woman. Up until the 1970s, many men would still tip the hat for a woman.
