I remember saying, back in the 80’s, that one thing completely unbelieveable in the book, 1984, was a TV that would watch you. The computer hardware could simply not manage it, as far as I was concerned.

Now it’s worse that even Orwell ever imagined. And they don’t have to “force” you to leave it on. Rather, you are incentive to, and you forget that it is even there.

And then there is Alexa...

The general population needs to know this technology exists and will be used in the future to blackmail and extort from people. They need to know that nothing is impossible to make seem real.

Used to be ‘Show me video or it didn’t happen’, now even that standard is gone..................

Back in the sixties, a ‘computer’ was an entire floor in a huge building, with guys wearing white coats and air conditioners the size of boxcars.

Today’s smart watches are more powerful than they were..........
