Congress should pass a bill that requires vehicle insurance providers to verify the legal status of applicants. If they provide insurance to illegals, they should be heavily fined and charged with aiding and abetting lawbreakers.

In Texas, the vehicle insurance info is input to TX DOT and is accessible by all LEO agencies. If a person purchases the insurance just to get a license plate (for example) and then cancels it a month later that cancellation is sent to the DOT. If a LEO pulls someone over for even a minor reason, they can check the DOT and find if the insurance is valid or not, BEFORE they even walk to the stopped vehicle. ....I’m betting CA and NY plus many other States don’t have that cancellation data available to LEOs.

I said: Any misstatement on the application (address of residence in particular) would also result in immediate deportation, as would failure to notify of new address if moving and insurance status.
