A top New York State top business group backs legislation giving drivers licenses to illegal immigrants claiming it will be a boon to the economy.
This is the law in 12 states and its been beneficial to those states economies, Heather Briccetti, CEO of the Business Council of New York, told reporters Wednesday.

Gotta expand the recruiting pool for Uber.
Road signs should be in our dual language of Spanish also.
The list goes like this -
1) southern barrier;
2) require eVerify to hire;
3) end all chain migration;
4) birthright per Minor v. Happersett (plural parents);
5) end work visas;
6) 10-year moratorium on all new applications for citizenship (40 years to allow workplace automation effects on downsizing population)
7) demonstrate English proficiency to acquire citizenship and pass civics test.
Enactment of these provisions will motivate illegal aliens to self-deport.
Also consider reciprocation of the laws of the countries of origin of the illegal aliens. For example, Mexico doesnt allow land ownership or voting to immigrants, and doesnt honor birthright citizenship like its citizens expect from the U.S. We should offer the same deal to them.
No American legal documents for illegals, with the exception of arrest and deportation paperwork.
Of course they do! Illegals are cheaper to hire than citizens since they generally don't pay taxes. They are more likely to take on a project then move on to avoid ICE and be caught.
NY should be against them because they generally don't pay state income taxes. And the fact that they consume welfare and medical resources which should go to NY citizens.
New York is surely to go bust. Even though the Feds may bail them and California out a couple more times; these kind of leftist states will collapse upon themselves.
This is why they desperately want Socialism, because it bails them out regardless of making its citizens slaves of the state.
This is an excellent example confirming that United States has no laws. We are a Banana Republic whose Constitution is strictly for show, just like the USSR.
When you live in a country where you can be imprisoned for violating a regulation written by an unelected bureaucrat you are not a free man.
A business leader in New York is like a Jewish leader in Saudi Arabia.
- And the Motor-Voter laws that go with it. Just what we need, more illegally-registered voters.
How does an illegal immigrant prove “legal residence” in a state in order to get a state license?
I’m not particularly upset with giving them licenses — they are driving anyway, and this way we can make sure they understand the laws of driving, not that we can expect them to follow those laws either.
Also, once they do this, we should definitely throw in prison, and deport, illegals who don’t get their licenses.
How about we catapult them over a border and call it flying lessons?
“Reciprocation of the laws of the countries of origin of the illegal aliens. For example, Mexico doesnt allow land ownership or voting to immigrants, and doesnt honor birthright citizenship like its citizens expect from the U.S. We should offer the same deal to them.”
This would be an excellent beginning to any discussions about future citizenship in America from any other country.

1) Terminate the illegal welfare state. The barrier likely will not be needed.
2) Not an authorized power of Fedzilla. Citizens don’t req. the PERMISSION of govt to...do near anything
If anything it should be changed to: arrest & prosecution of any/all govt employee aiding, abetting, harboring, obstructing, violating Oath of Office, etc.
4) Plain, clear reading of the FULL English text of the 14th A. (there is no such thing as an ‘anchor baby’)
8) All govt will be done by English ONLY
The basic starting point besides reciprocal immigration rules:
No American legal documents for illegals, with the exception of arrest and deportation paperwork.
8) End the birthright citizenship interpretation of the 14th Amendment. No more anchor babies!
Sarcasm seems lost on a lot of people here.
Couldn’t be more short-sighted.
NOT a boon to those of us living where Driver’s licenses were handed out to illegals...
MY vehicle insurance went from $80 monthly to $131 monthly AFTER ILLEGALS were driving with licenses here in Nevada. Living on Social Security doesn’t help, either.
Last ticket I had was over 16 years ago for seat belt.
Last accident I had was OCT 1966.
Have not changed vehicles.

They don’t understand a thing—except to flee the scene of an accident they caused.
In California for years, they could have a ‘helper’ who understood English do the written test with them.
So she would rather reward people who have nothing but contempt for our laws and country then saying something like “Let’s speed up the legal immigration pipeline!” or God Forbid “Let’s pay Americans more and make it easier to have more kids like we did in the past!”.
Nope. Her solution is, give in to the criminal invader.
