Be glad it was just the arm.
Imagine going to the E-Room with snake still attached ‘elsewhere’! “Yes, there IS a snake in my pants, and no, I am NOT happy to see you.”
To: Olog-hai
Luckily it wasn't venomous... or worse...

Just watched a new show (Discovery Ch) with a guy, dog and 4 other people that catch pythons for Florida game and fish. There are saying that 300,000 of these are wiping out the rest of the wild animals and birds. The pythons are eating feral hogs and gators as well. In the Everglades.

“The snake is nonvenomous.

Black snakes are nonvenomous too, but according to my vet, their bite can infect an animal like your dog or you with salmonella and that can kill them, or you. Antibiotics are needed immediately to be on the safe side.

When I was 9 we lived in a very rural setting in Annapolis, MD.
One morning when I got up, I found a snake in the toilet. I tried to grab it in order to take it outside. It bit me. It was a cotton mouth water moccasin. That day I found out about snake bite antivenom, tetanus shots and rabies shots to the stomach.
