I think most of upstate NY authorities, Federal and State, were 'purchased'. Raniere established himself there in 1998 and was arrested in 2018. Twenty years of predation. A mysterious suicide, underage rapes, money laundering, tax evasion, human trafficking. No one took notice for two decades. It's disgusting.
