Mine grows a slime covering when it really gets going. I keep 2 pails of water with a 1/2 cup of bleach in each of them right outside the shower door. Step one foot in each on the way in to the shower while scrubbing my crotch with a rough cloth dipped in the bleach solution. It's rough on the skin but you have to get that slime broken down or you'll never get to the fungi living underneath.

Socks, underwear, sheets and towels get washed separate from the regular laundry and always with a big splash of bleach.

Monkey Butt powder works as well as anything else I've used and it's cheap. If I keep at it all the time it's just a minor problem but if I get lazy it comes right back good and hard.
