I’ve seen zinc oxide touted as a miracle cure for everything. Might be worth a shot.
I think it was “The Kentucky Fried Movie” that had a skit spoofing the scientific/ educational films of the ‘50s or ‘60’s. “Zinc Oxide and You. “
