Does it really surprise anyone that a feline might have jealous tendencies?
LOL.

And how many times did it not work?

We know that our cats do not understand what we say. If they did, I think they would escape and never come back. The number of times I’ve called my polydactyl a mutant would make him never want to see me again if he knew. We took a cat to the vet to be shot a couple of days ago...

Perhaps wandering about talking to strays leaves a scent trail that helps the lost pet find its way back.

This is sort of like burying a statue of St. Joseph in the yard when you’re trying to sell your home. The home is sold soon after.

It may be that by the time you’re ready to bury a statue or talk to neighborhood feral cats you’ll try just about anything and sometimes it works.

Do you have to speak to the stray cats in Japanese?

Cats are descended from space aliens whose ancestors were stranded here thousands of years ago. They understand what we say but just have selective give a hoot about it.

I’d like to know if the cats in question had been “altered.” Unneutered cats can be gone for a week on a pleasure spree.

In my neighborhood, you may have to ask the coyotes.

What is really happening here is that the stray alley cats are contacting the missing cat and telling it that the master is losing it, talking to them like they could understand or something. So, based on that they feel that the master is about to lose it and stroke out.

So, they let the missing cat know about it, and that they expect to be invited over for dinner when the owner passes out and dies.

Cats are pretty vicious like that.

I've often thought the same about the Japanese. If any earthly cultures seem to have come from 'elsewhere', it's the Japanese and the ancient Egyptians.

My cat definitely understands me. She just doesn’t care.
